Your Care Journey

Your care journey with Brighters, step by step

From your first message to your feedback conversation โ€” here's the complete path, and what happens at each step along the way.

Free initial consultation with our care team โ€” no obligation.

  1. 1

    Submit your request

Tell us your name, contact details, and what's concerning you. It takes a few minutes online, and you don't need to know which assessment your child needs yet.

  2. 2

    Free initial consultation

Our care team reaches out for a free, no-obligation call to understand your child's needs and help you decide on the right assessment โ€” Strengths & Support Needs, Autism, or ADHD.

  3. 3

    Complete your intake

Fill in your child's developmental history and upload any previous assessment, school or therapy reports. Complete any parent (and where relevant teacher) rating scales ahead of your session.

  4. 4

    Your assessment session(s)

Meet your psychologist online over Google Meet, from a quiet space at home. All the assessments your child needs together typically take 90 to 120 minutes in total; an autism or ADHD assessment (ADHD applies from age 6) can need more than one, so nothing is rushed to fit a fixed slot.

  5. 5

Your clinician reviews the complete picture

Your psychologist interprets the assessment results together with your child's developmental history and everything else you've shared โ€” no score makes a decision on its own.

  6. 6

    Your feedback conversation & report

Meet your psychologist to discuss the findings in plain language. Receive a clear written report with recommendations for home, school and professional support.

  7. 7

    Ongoing support & annual reassessment

This isn't the end. We recommend returning for a reassessment about once a year (sooner if your clinician advises it), so you always know how your child is progressing โ€” not just where they started. Every assessment is saved to your child's Progress dashboard, building a complete picture over time and helping guide what to focus on next.

Your report is yours to take forward, too โ€” many parents use it to guide conversations with their child's school, therapists, or pediatrician, alongside the ongoing reassessment relationship above.
