For schools and therapy centres

A detailed assessment report your school and therapists can use

Standardized child development, autism and ADHD assessments, led by qualified psychologists. Every family receives a clear report with practical recommendations for school and therapy.

WHAT THE REPORT INCLUDES

Written so the next professional does not have to start again

After the assessment, each family receives one report from their child's psychologist. For the people who support the child, it covers:

Why the family came

How the concern first came up, who asked for the assessment (the family, a school or a doctor), what we were asked to look into, and the developmental, school and therapy history, so your team does not have to ask the family again.

What was done, and what it showed

The assessments used and their dates, then the results for each in plain language, with the child's strengths and the areas that need support.

Recommendations for school and therapy

Recommended therapies and school setting, and a short ranked list of what to start now. Each item has a reason and the kind of professional who can help, for example a speech therapist, occupational therapist or special educator. Longer-term goals carry a rough timeframe.

Detailed scores for professionals

For the Strengths & Support Needs assessment, a separate page of standard scores, confidence intervals, percentiles and age equivalents, copied from the scoring report and not recalculated.

A named clinician's sign-off

Prepared and approved by a named clinician, with their qualification and registration number as they provide it, the date of release and a report reference.

Reassessment over time

We recommend reassessment about once a year, so progress can be tracked and support adjusted as the child grows.

What a report contains depends on which assessments the child had.

HOW WE ASSESS ONLINE

The tools behind the report

We use established, standardized instruments that work through a clinician-led interview or structured rating forms, the same way on a video call as in a clinic.

Strengths & Support Needs

Vineland-3

Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, Third Edition

A widely used international measure of everyday skills across communication, daily living and socialization. Your psychologist completes it through a structured interview with you, so your child does not need to be on camera.

Autism

ISAA

Indian Scale for Assessment of Autism

An autism rating scale developed in India. Your psychologist completes it with you, and pairs it with their own observation of your child at play over video and a careful developmental history.

ADHD

Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt ADHD Diagnostic Rating Scales

Widely used in paediatric practice, with a parent version and a teacher version, so your psychologist sees how your child is doing at home and at school.

INDT-ADHD

INCLEN Diagnostic Tool for ADHD

A structured ADHD interview developed and tested in India, completed by your psychologist with you.

  • โ€”A live psychologist, not an app. Every assessment is led by a qualified psychologist in a live video session. Nothing is an unsupervised online quiz, and no score decides anything on its own.
  • โ€”The same instruments, scored the same way. These are interview and rating-scale instruments. They are completed by asking and listening, so the questions and the scoring are the same whether you are in a clinic or at home.
  • โ€”Honest about the limits. If something cannot be judged well enough over video, your psychologist will tell you and recommend an in-person step rather than guess.
WHERE TEACHERS COME IN

Teachers contribute to the assessment, not only receive it

For ADHD assessments, the child's teacher completes a standardized rating scale (the Vanderbilt teacher form) alongside the parent's. The teacher receives a secure link by email and does not need a Brighters account. School reports and teacher feedback are also considered as part of the child's history in the other assessments.

HOW REPORTS REACH YOU

The report belongs to the family

We release each report to the child's parent, who decides who else sees it. Parents can download or print it and share it with your school or therapy centre. We do not send reports to schools or centres directly. The report shows the name of the clinician who prepared it and a report reference.

SUGGESTING BRIGHTERS TO A FAMILY

Three steps for the family

  1. Share what they are looking for. They complete a short online form at brighters.com/apply, from anywhere in India.
  2. Speak to our care team. A free initial consultation, with no obligation.
  3. Complete the assessment online. A video session with the psychologist, plus rating forms for parents and, where relevant, teachers.

Tell us what you need from a report

We are early, and we are shaping how schools and therapy centres work with Brighters together with the people who use the reports. Tell us about your school or centre and what you need.
